Bio

Rob is photo-editor with more than 20 years professional experience in the news industry. His passion for stills photography started after hand processing his first black and white film when he was 13-years-old. Fascinated by news and a desire to be constantly up-to-date on current affairs he has found the news photography business irresistible. His first picture was published in The Times newspaper at the age of 15 while on a week’s work experience. Rob persuaded the company to start an apprenticeship scheme so he could start work as a photographer after leaving school. As an experienced news and sports photographer he is great at communicating with photographers operating in the field. Rob is a highly motivated, extremely competitive, team player who always strives for the best. Very skilled in using both Mac and Windows systems across a variety of computer software, including off-the-shelve products such as Adobe Photoshop, Photo Mechanic and Microsoft Office as well as proprietary software. His career has given him the opportunity to work, covering a variety of assignments, in places such as Paris, Beijing, Melbourne & Yokohama where he has been able to experience different cultures.
